1. Mike Williams, WR, Clemson--- I truly believe Mike Williams will go to the Titans, but with free agency/trades some teams could have fulfilled their needs at the WR position. As a result, Williams could drop to the Bengals at #9. One area the Bengals struggled last year was in the red zone. Especially without Tyler Eifert. Mike Williams would provide Andy Dalton with another weapon on offense. With this draft class having a deep edge rush class, the Bengals can afford to wait like they did last year with DT Andrew Billings.
2. Tim Williams, EDGE, Alabama --- Early reports have indicated that Tim Williams could fall to the 2nd round due to marijuana issues. I expect a similar slide to Noah Spence & Randy Gregory. Tim Williams is close to the size of former 1st round edge rusher David Pollack at 6’3 252 and is 23 years old. Williams has drawn comparisons to Lawrence Taylor and is arguably the most talented edge rusher of this class. Williams can rotate between SAM LB & DE similar to how the Bengals utilized David Pollack, James Harrison & Chris Carter. The Bengals have taken players with substance violations (DUIs) in the 2nd round (Boyd, Dunlap, etc.) Williams would be an absolute steal in the 2nd round.
3. Pat Elflein --- The Bengals' offensive line was horrid in 2016. Elflein possesses the ability to play center and offensive guard. The Bengals love to have versatile offensive linemen whom can play multiple positions. With Zeitler unlikely to return, Elflein could potentially be a replacement for Zeitler or Bodine.
4. Kendell Beckwith, LB, LSU --- Aside from Vontaze Burfict, the Bengals truly don’t have much talent within their linebacker core. The Bengals defense gave up over 110 rushing yards per game. They Bengals recently drafted Nick Vigil & Paul Dawson, but neither seems to be a permanent solution. Rey Maualuga played sparingly last season and has become an endangered species at the position. Maualuga could be let go and Beckwith is a guy with the athletic ability that the Bengals truly lack outside of Burfict.
4(C). Daniel Carlson, K, Auburn --- Two words: Mike Nugent
4(C) De’veon Smith, RB, Michigan --- I personally like Jeremy Hill, but he has found himself in the dog house recently. In my opinion I believe his struggles are related to run blocking, but he is also approaching free agency in 2018. The Bengals have already extended Gio and Rex Bulkhead is similar to Gio in stature. Smith is more of a power back and could provide an option if Hill doesn’t regain form next season.
